Google Gears

Google Gears is a free plugin for Windows that is compatible with Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox and will allow you to make use of Google’s web apps without having to be connected to Internet.

Currently, the plugin is only compatible with Google Reader, and it will allow you to download up to 2000 RSS entries. In the future, however, it may be used with apps such as Google Docs or Google Calendar. This makes Google Gears an essential utility for your PC.
